Road salt
(TECHNICAL SODIUM CHLORIDE)
Technical sodium chloride is designated for winter road maintenance. It may be applied in its pure form or after mixing with sand. Usage to brines is not advised.
Technical sodium chloride dissolves in water very easily. It is hygroscopic, tends to get lumped, and freeze in low temperatures. To prevent lumping it is put through anti-lumping agents treatment.
Technical salt should be stored in conditions preventing any contamination, precipitation and ground waters access.
