Hexagonal magnesium chloride MgCl2 * 6H2O is a highly hygroscopic agent used in many industries, road construction and households. It is used, among others, to remove winter slippage on roads, pavements, driveways, etc. Similarly to calcium chloride it is extremely effective at very low temperatures.

Transportation | Magnesium chloride may be transported in any means of transportation provided it is protected against the action of water. Means of transportation must be clean, dry and leakproof. The product is not subject to RID and ADR regulations. | |
Storage | Magnesium chloride should be stored in original, properly labelled, sealed packaging in a dry, well-ventilated room away from sources of heat and open fire. It is hygroscopic and should be stored away from moisture. It cannot be stored together with strong acids. | |
Loading places | We offer magnesium chloride only with delivery. Full truckloads are possible min. 24 tons, as well as we are able to arrange transport of palletized quantities from 1 ton. Transport of magnesium chloride is carried out by vehicles adapted for transporting packaged goods. | |
Precautions | Magnesium chloride is a non-flammable substance. At temperatures above 135°C, caustic hydrogen chloride may be released. At temperatures above 300°C, chlorine may be released. It is not suitable for consumption - in case of accidental swallowing it may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, respiratory system paralysis, cardiovascular disorders, increase of blood pressure, weakening of muscle tension, arrhythmia, feeling of fatigue, symptoms of paralysis. In contact with the eyes or skin it may cause irritation. When working with the product do not eat, drink or smoke, use protective clothing - especially gloves, dust masks and protective glasses. Wash hands thoroughly before breaks and after finishing work. In case of not following the precautions - if necessary, contact a doctor immediately. |
